Helping youth succeed takes commitment and action from our whole community. Champions for Youth are people who act in small and big ways to support youth in central Indiana. Champion for Youth Awards

The Champions for Youth awards will honor youth-workers who have made a significant impact on the youth with whom they work. In addition, we hope that this honor will help the community better understand the level of knowledge, compassion and commitment that is required by the youth-workers in our community!

Eligibility:

The nominee must live in central Indiana and must be a youth development professional who spends at least 40% of his/her time working directly with youth (After-school workers, teachers, counselors, daycare providers, etc.).

Selection Process:

Everyday Champion nominations will be accepted each month, with one chosen for the Champion for Youth award each month by an independent selection group.

Awards:

In December, the selection committee will review the 11 monthly Everyday Champions, and choose an overall Champion for Youth winner, whom will receive $300 and $200 to the organization of their employment. A second and third place winner will be choose as well. Each will receive id="mce_marker"00. Awards will be given out at MCCOY's annual Recognition Reception.
